Dynamic Light Scattering

Dynamic Light Scattering | Malvern Instruments, Nano ZS ZEN 3600

Location: LFG, Haberstraße 9a, 91058 Erlangen, Room 01.814

Simple and straightforward instrument for determining particle size, molecular weight and zeta potential of nanoparticles in dispersion. Suitable for all samples dispersed in aqueous solution or organic solvents.

M. Sc. Daniel Platzer

  • Particle size for DLS: 0.3 nm to 10 µm
  • Particle size for zeta potential: 3.8 nm to 100 µm
  • Molecular weight: 342 Da to 2×107 Da
  • Temperature control: 0 °C to 90 °C
  • Cuvette: quartz glass cuvette for size, molecular weight and zeta potential (with appropriate dip cell)
  • Measurement mode: size, molecular weight, zeta potential
  • Scattering mode (DLS): backscatter (175°), forward scatter (12.8°), dual angle (175° and 12.8°)
