Autoclave With Inline Optics

Understanding the formation mechanism of nanomaterials is of fundamental importance for designing their properties and improve their ultimate performance in functional devices. Solvothermal conditions have been demonstrated to be an effective route for the production of particles with controlled shape, size and properties. However, understanding the formation mechanism of nanomaterials formed under these experimental conditions using standard equipment remains a challenge.

We have designed a reactor that, besides the control of process parameters (temperature, pressure, energy input), enables the inspection of reaction mixtures with analytical (pH, oxygen, redox, conductivity, turbidity) and spectroscopic techniques (Raman, FT-IR, UV-Vis, photoluminescence). Up to 4 probes can be used simultaneously to monitor the formation of nanomaterials starting from their molecular components.
